The TV station from Radio Santec is the second station belonging to Universal Life after Die Neue Zeit TV that can be received via the Astra satellite. It has been broadcasting a television program via the Astra 1H satellite since January 2010 and intends to feed it into cable networks in the future. With a data rate of only 0.8 MBit/s, the signal is of rather poor quality. The channel was licensed in Germany by the North Rhine-Westphalia Media Authority (LfM) with a decision dated August 18, 2009. The name was changed to Sophia TV even before the start of broadcasting. The name Sophia is interpreted as a "symbol of divine wisdom".
