The Prime Minister appeared bullish when asked about a range of issues facing the country - the cost of living crisis, the Northern Ireland protocol, and the long-delayed opening of the Elizabeth Line, saying the UK would get through it "in very good shape".

On the Northern Ireland Protocol, Mr Johnson said there were good, common sense solutions to the issues surrounding it.

But first he hailed today a great day for the country with the opening of the Elizabeth Line - also known as Crossrail - saying it would be transformative for the whole country.
