The husband of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe told Sky News that his wife did not receive an "explicit" apology from the Prime Minister in their meeting today at Downing Street.
The pair met Boris Johnson for the first time since Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe was released from prison, in which she spent six years in Iran.
The PM has been criticised following comments he made in 2017 when he told MPs that she had been teaching journalism in Iran, complicating her legal case. Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe told the PM she had lived in "the shadow of his words."
