Mustafa Barghouti, leader of the Palestinian National Initiative, has spoken to Al Jazeera hours after Israeli forces shot dead Al Jazeera Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
Barghouti has said that the killing of the Al Jazeera correspondent is a new crime to be added to a series of crimes committed by the occupation, specifically against the Palestinian media.
He stressed that this premeditated killing is a crime for which the occupying force must be held accountable in international courts.
Barghouti has said that the only solution is to end the occupation and the system of apartheid against the Palestinian people.
